The Metamorphosis

I thought this book was supposed to be happy. I thought Gregor turns into a butterfly in the end! Boy was I wrong! It was so sad. I was reading it at a low point and I really felt connected with Gregor a burden on everyone around him. But now im feeling better and don’t connect to him anymore. If you are reading this you’re not a burden. Every view on my blog counts for something. Another thing that really shocks me is Harry Styles wrote a song about this book. Does Harry Styles even experience sadness? I sure hope not.

White Elephant

White elephant parties are so fun! I went to two this week!

For both parties I got the same gift. Doing puzzles with me is actually a lot of fun. I am really good at them. I’ll put on a good movie or TV show, and I stay quiet! A lot of people think I am really talkative, but in my own home, I am very quiet. I can go weeks inside my apartment without talking to anyone, but I highly dont recommend this. Anyways, congrats to Nikki and Rick!

At the first white elephant party, I won these items. A shower beer holder and a $20 iTunes gift card from Alix. I am trying to quit drinking mostly, so I thought I’d use it as a phone holder in the shower and that it would amplify the music I’m playing. But i tried that and it fell, and my phone was in the shower for like 2 minutes without me noticing, but my phone is ok, dont worry. I love iPhone games! They’ve ported a lot of good DS games like Ace Attorney and Professor Layton to the iPhone so there’s a whole range I can buy

I got this tea kettle from Calla. I have a lot of loose-leaf tea from an unnamed high-end convenience store that is probably committing money laundering, according to a Reddit post.

Panera Charged Lemonade

I've actually had the charged lemonade many times. When I was a barista, I had a really high caffeine tolerance. I didn't die, and I am still alive. RIP to those who have passed from this. That is sad.

I could totally end up doing something like this when I was a barista.

I think you should keep wearing black and not roast them back. Show them it's okay to be emo. People are all different. Play them some midwest emo or My Chemical Romance. I thought it was cool to be emo these days.

Dear Friendless Fred,

First of all, is being my friend not enough for you? Whatever. I think making friends as an adult is pretty easy. But you dont like doing the two things necessary to make friends; going out and reaching out. Send someone you want to be friends with a meme or ask them how it’s going. Try the dbt skill opposite action. Its where you do something you dont want to do, and you break it down into tiny baby steps.
